Future (2014)

Future (born November 20, 1983 in Atlanta , Georgia ; real name Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn ) is an American rapper and songwriter . In April 2012 he released his debut album Pluto . Five singles were released from the album, which could be placed on the Billboard Hot 100 . Future has its own band, the Freeband Gang, and a label called Freebandz.

Career

Future was born in Atlanta . His stage name was derived from his time with the music collective Dungeon Family , which gave him the nickname "The Future". His cousin, Rico Wade, was a producer for the Dungeon Family and encouraged him to keep working on his songwriting skills and try his hand at rapper. A-1 Recordings signed him shortly afterwards. From 2010 to 2011 Future released the Mixtapes 1000 , Dirty Sprite and True Story . The latter also features the single Tony Montana , a tribute to the film Scarface . Together with Gucci Mane he brought out the album Free Bricks and worked as a songwriter for YC's single Racks .

Pluto

Future signed with Epic Label Group in September 2011 just before his mixtape Streetz Calling was released. Although Future told MTV that Streetz Calling would be his last mixtape before the release of his debut album, Astronaut Status followed in January 2012 .

His debut album Pluto was initially announced for January 2012, but was not released until April 17th. It also included remixes by Tony Montana featuring Drake and Magic featuring TI. It was TI's first appearance after he was released from prison. This song was the first to hit the Billboard Hot 100 . Other guests on the album include R. Kelly , Snoop Dogg and Trae Tha Truth . On October 8, 2012, Pusha T released the single Pain , on which Future could also be heard.

On November 27, 2012 Future released his debut album again under the title Pluto 3D . It contained three new songs and two remixes, including Same Damn Time with Diddy and Ludacris and the street single Neva End (Remix) featuring Kelly Rowland . In 2012, Future wrote and produced a guest post called Loveeeeeee Song for Rihanna's seventh studio album, Unapologetic .

2014 to 2016

On January 15, 2013 Future released the compilation mixtape F.BG: The Movie with artists from his own label Freebandz: Young Scooter, Slice9, Casino, Mexico Rann and Maceo. The mixtape went platinum by mixtape site DatPiff after being downloaded 250,000 times. His second album, Honest , was released in April 2014 . The first single Karate Chop was released in January 2013.

In 2015 Future released the mixtape 56 Nights . In June 2017 it was announced that the song March Madness had reached platinum status.

On July 16, 2015, Future released the album DS2 .

After the collaboration album What a Time to Be Alive with the Canadian rapper Drake , which was released on September 20, 2015, and the mixtape Purple Reign , which was released on January 17, 2016 , he released the studio album EVOL on February 5, 2016 .

Future / Hndrxx

In February 2017, Future released the albums Future and Hndrxx within seven days . Both reached number 1 on the US Billboard charts . The albums were also able to position themselves in the German-speaking countries, with Future reaching the highest positions in Switzerland with 23rd and 30th place respectively. The track Mask Off from the Future album became a hit in German-speaking countries in March and was the first solo track to make it into the top 20 of the song charts. It reached number 9 in Switzerland and number 18 in Germany. The song sings of the painkiller Percocet , which is popular in the USA . It is a song "that couldn't be better suited to the State of the Union," said Florentin Schumacher in an article on "America's new teen idols".

Private life

Future has an illegitimate son. He was born in 2002. In May 2014, he and his fiancée, the singer Ciara , became parents of a second son. In August of the same year, the couple separated.
