G20 summit in Antalya 2015
The 2015 G20 summit in Antalya was the tenth annual meeting of the heads of state and government of the group of the twenty most important industrialized and emerging countries . The event took place from November 15 to 16, 2015 in Belek , Antalya , Turkey . The venue for the Summit of Heads of State and Government was the Regnum Carya Hotel Convention Center at the Regnum Carya Golf & Resort Spa.
Turkey officially assumed the chairmanship of the G20 from Australia on December 1, 2014 , and the People's Republic of China took over the chairmanship of the summit in 2016.
The summit conference

The summit in Antalya was the 10th edition of the G20 summit. Together, the G20 represented around 90% of global GDP , 80% of world trade and two-thirds of the world's population.
This year Turkey holds the presidency of the G20. The G20 members are Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, the Republic of Korea, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States States and the European Union. The European Union is thus a full member of the G20 and is represented at the G20 summits by the President of the European Commission and the President of the European Council. The G20 members have invited Spain as a permanent guest. In addition, Zimbabwe was invited as it chaired the African Union in 2015, Malaysia as it chaired the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in 2015, Senegal as the representative of the New Partnership for Africa's Development, and Azerbaijan and Singapore.
Agenda
The agenda included a discussion of the world's major political and security crises, including Syria and the refugees from the Syrian civil war .
Preparatory meetings
In September 2015, US Treasury Secretary Jack Lew planned a visit to Turkey, as did his Chinese and other G20 finance ministerial colleagues and central bankers. During the year leading up to the November summit, preparatory and regular meetings were held, many of them in places in Turkey this year, on the subjects of women-20, youth-20, energy in sub-Saharan Africa, silver economy, Islamic finance, tourism, Agriculture and other topics took place or were planned from September.
Results
Due to the terrorist attacks in Paris that killed 130 people, the G20 summit focused mainly on political and less on economic issues. As an organization dealing with global issues of financial and economic cooperation, the G20 decided to change the format of the meeting.
Following the results of the summit, the heads of state and government adopted a declaration on combating terrorism in addition to the planned communiqué. “We condemn the heinous terrorist attacks in Paris on November 13th and in Ankara on October 10th in the strongest possible terms. They are an unacceptable insult to all of humanity, ”said a joint G20 statement. The Heads of State have expressed their readiness to fight terrorism in all its forms, including measures to counter economic terrorism.
Some other questions, such as How the world works together to boost the global economy was also discussed during the conference.

The guests were the representatives of the New Partnership for Africa's Development ( Macky Sall ), the African Union ( Robert Mugabe ) and the Association for Southeast Asian Nations ( Najib Razak ), the Prime Minister of Spain ( Pedro Sánchez ), the Prime Minister of Singapore ( Lee Hsien Loong ) and the President of Azerbaijan ( Ilham Aliyev ) invited.
Absent heads of government
French President François Hollande did not take part in the event due to the attacks in Paris in November 2015 and sent Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius as his representative. This meeting was the second time that the Argentine President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner could not be present. She was represented by Minister of Economic Affairs Axel Kicillof , as parliamentary elections were due on November 22nd.
