Gabriel Alejandro Milito (born September 7, 1980 in Bernal ) is a retired Argentine soccer player of Calabrian descent and is the brother of Diego Milito .

Emerging from the youth of CA Independiente , Milito moved up to the first team in 1997 and was active for this until 2003. In 2002 he won the Apertura tournament for the Argentine soccer championship with Independiente and was also voted soccer player of the year .

In 2003 he moved to Spain for the first division club Real Saragossa , with whom he won both the Spanish club and then the Spanish Super Cup in 2004. From the 2005/06 season Gabriel played in Saragossa together with his brother Diego. On July 11, 2007, Gabriel Milito moved to FC Barcelona for around 20 million euros , where he signed a four-year contract and receives four million euros annually.
