Georges Theiler (born May 20, 1949 in Lucerne ) is a Swiss entrepreneur and politician ( FDP.The Liberals ).

Georges Theiler was elected to the Grand Council of the Canton of Lucerne in 1987 , to which he was a member until 1995. In the parliamentary elections in 1995 he was elected to the National Council. He belonged to this until 2011 and was a member of the Commission for Economics and Taxes . In the 2011 parliamentary elections , Theiler was elected to the Council of States , where he represented the Canton of Lucerne until 2015.

Georges Theiler is a member of the parliamentary committee of the FDP Switzerland, member of the executive board of the FDP canton Lucerne and is on the party committee of the FDP city of Lucerne. In 2004 and 2005 Theiler ran for the office of President of the FDP Switzerland, but was defeated by Rolf Schweiger and Fulvio Pelli .

The entrepreneur Georges Theiler is the father of three daughters.
