Roland Fischer (born April 5, 1965 in Horw ) is a Swiss politician ( glp ).

Life

Fischer completed his Matura at the Cantonal School Alpenquai Luzern in 1986 , after completing his studies he obtained a doctorate in 1997 at the University of Friborg (Switzerland) . This was followed by a position at Credit Suisse until 2001, after which he was Deputy Project Manager at the Federal Finance Administration (FFA) under Hans-Rudolf Merz until 2007, where he was Head of Financial Statistics from 2007 to 2012. Since 2015, Fischer has been working as a lecturer in Public & Nonprofit Management at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences (HSLU) .

Fischer holds the title of captain in the Swiss Army . He lives in Udligenswil .

politics

Fischer has been a board member of the Green Liberals of the Canton of Lucerne since 2008, and of the Habsburg region since 2009. Since 2016 he has been President of the Glp Kanton Luzern.

In the parliamentary elections in 2011 , Fischer was elected to the National Council. There he took a seat in the Finance and Security Commission.

In the 2015 National Council elections , the Green Liberal Party in the canton of Lucerne lost 0.3% of the vote and consequently the seat of Roland Fischer. Fischer took this back in 2019.
