Albert Vitali
Albert Vitali (born June 26, 1955 in Oberkirch ; † June 12, 2020 ) was a Swiss entrepreneur and politician ( FDP The Liberals ).
Vitali was a local councilor in Oberkirch from 1982 to 2001 , and from 1995 to 2011 he was the cantonal councilor of Lucerne . There he was president of his parliamentary group from 2003 to 2010. In the parliamentary elections in 2011 Vitali was elected to the National Council and took a seat on the Finance Commission, most recently as President.
As President of IG Volkskultur Schweiz and the Principality of Liechtenstein, he fought against the abolition of radio and television fees . He was OC vice-president of the Federal Wrestling Festival 2004 in Lucerne and OK member of the Swiss yodelling festival in Lucerne.
Vitali was the owner and manager of a trust office in Oberkirch. He died of cancer on June 12, 2020 at the age of 64 . He was married and had three grown children.
