Georgy Arsumanjan

Georgy Arsumanjan (at the World Chess Federation FIDE Georgy Arzumanian ; born August 16, 1980 in Tbilisi , Georgian SSR ) is an Armenian chess player .

Georgy Arsumanjan lives in Ukraine . He played club chess in Ukraine for the chess club of the University of Law in Kharkiv, Ukraine . With the club he won the 6th University Championship in Istanbul in 2007 . In Germany he has been playing for the Siegburg chess club since 2015 .

He received the title of International Master in 2001. He made standards for obtaining the title of Grand Master in January 2007 at the Stek Friday tournament in Tula , in October 2005 at the Femida tournament in Kharkiv and in November 2011 at the 2nd memorial tournament in honor of the Grandmaster Alexei Suetin died in 2001 in Tula, which he won. The application for the grandmaster title was only made in November 2007. However, Georgy Arsumanjan had to wait until January 2009 to be awarded - only then did he exceed the limit of 2500 Elo points.

Its Elo rating is 2479 (as of October 2018), its highest rating to date was 2504 from January to June 2009.
