Levon Babudschjan ( Armenian Լևոն Բաբուջյան , with the World Chess Federation FIDE Levon Babujian ; born May 8, 1986 in Yerevan ) is an Armenian chess player . Since January 2010 he has held the title of Grand Master .

Life

Levon Babujyan studied at the Armenian State Institute for Physical Culture and Sports in Yerevan. He is the director of the chess school in the Malatia-Sebastia district of Yerevan .

successes

In the Iranian Super League, playing on the third board, he was runner-up in 2005 with the chess department of Sanat Naft Abadan . In the Armenian highest league he played for FIMA Yerevan in 2006 and 2007 , in 2008 for Burning Star Hrasdan , in 2009 for MIKA Yerevan and in 2014 for PN BKMA . He won the Armenian championship unbeaten in 2009 with MIKA Yerevan on the third board.

In April 2006 he received the title of International Master . He surpassed the norms for this, in February 2004 in the B group of the Aeroflot Open in Moscow , in May 2005 in the 65th Armenian individual championship in Yerevan, which was won by Ashot Anastassyan , and in August 2005 in the Blue -Sevan tournament in Sevan , won by Levon Babujyan. He has been a grandmaster since January 2010. He achieved the norms for this in September 2008 at the 2nd International Open in Urmia , Iran , in October 2008 with overachievement at the Vasylyschyn Memorial in Lviv , in September 2009 at the 8th Chess Festival in Istanbul and in October 2009 at the Chigorin Memorial in Saint Petersburg .
