Gerd Kragl (born June 23, 1997 in Linz ) is an Austrian ice hockey player who has been under contract with EHC Linz in the Austrian ice hockey league since 2015 .

Career

Kragl began his career in the youth division of the EHC Linz and became Austrian U18 and U20 champions in 2014 and 2015. On January 1, 2015, he made his debut in the professional team of the EHC Linz in the Austrian Ice Hockey League (EBEL).

From the 2015/16 season onwards, in addition to sporadic assignments in the EBEL, he was also used at EK Zell am See in the second-rate Inter-National League and Alps Hockey League . In December 2017 he was loaned to the EC VSV for two months .

International

Kragl represented Austria at the U18 World Championships in Division IB in 2014 and 2015 , as well as in the U20 World Championships in Division IA in 2016 and 2017 . In March 2017 he was called up to the men's national team in preparation for the World Cup in Division I and on April 5, 2017, he played his first international match in the 2: 6 friendly game against Sweden in Linz .
