Valentin Leiler (born January 18, 1995 in Villach ) is an Austrian ice hockey striker who has been under contract with EHC Linz in the Austrian ice hockey league since April 2018 .

Career

Valentin Leiler was Austrian youth champion with the VSV in 2011 and 2012. He made his first appearance in the fighting team in the 2012/13 season , followed by four appearances in the 2013/14 season and 17 appearances in the 2014/15 season . He received his first professional contract for the 2015/16 season , scoring seven goals and five assists. In 2016/17 he scored five goals and seven assists. He was also under contract with the VSV in the 2017/18 season.

International

Leiler took part in the U18 World Championships in 2012 and 2013 for Austria in Division I.

In November 2015 he was nominated for the first time for the Austrian men's national team . His first appearance was on November 6, 2015, when he lost 5-1 to Slovenia in Katowice, Poland .
