Gerhard Dongus (born October 19, 1937 ), born in Stuttgart, is a German actor , news anchor , presenter and radio play speaker .

Career

Gerhard Dongus attended drama school in Stuttgart. In 1964 he gained his first stage experience in the musical Irma La Douce by Marguerite Monnot and Alexandre Brefford , which was performed in Stuttgart by the comedy Marquardt . This was followed by further engagements at the Zimmertheater and Landestheater in Tübingen and at the State Theater in Stuttgart. From 1972, Dongus paused as an actor because he concentrated on his work as a speaker and presenter. From 2000 he was seen in various Stuttgart productions.

Dongus worked as a freelancer for Süddeutscher Rundfunk from 1967 to 1992 and worked as a speaker and presenter for radio and television productions. During this time he hosted the television program Landesschau-Aktuell from 1967 to 1979 .

He also worked as a newscaster on the radio and on television for the evening show and the state show of the Süddeutscher Rundfunk and SWR . Dongus has appeared in television series such as Aktenzeichen XY unsolved and Pastor Lenau . He also took on various supporting roles in the Stuttgart Tatort episodes of the SWR and was a freelancer at the Stuttgart ZDF state studio.

Dongus was employed by SDR and SWR as a speaker and moderator from 1992 to 1999.

After his retirement, Dongus continues to work as a speaker and reciter as well as a freelance actor. Until 2003 he moderated the SWR news as a freelancer.

Private

Dongus is married to the Baroness Natalie von Staden and lives in Stuttgart. He has made his job a hobby of reading audio books at home that are not sold but occasionally given away.
