Gerhard Götz (viticulture specialist)

Gerhard Götz (born June 5, 1931 in Flein ) is a German viticulture and fruit growing specialist . In the Wuerttemberg wine-growing region , as managing director of the Viticulture Association and director of Germany's oldest wine-growing school, he had great influence over decades and was involved in many innovations.

Life

Götz was born as the eldest son of the farmer Alfred Götz and his wife Emma, ​​b. Lang was born in Flein and attended elementary school there from 1938 to 1942 . Awards

In 1977 Götz received the Golden Badge of Honor from the Württemberg winegrowing association, and in 1995 he was made an honorary member of the association. In the same year he received the Golden Medal of Honor of the City of Weinsberg.
