Gerhard Herm

Gerhard Herm (born April 26, 1931 in Crailsheim , Württemberg ; † March 9, 2014 in Ottobrunn ) was a German journalist and writer .

Life

Herm studied at the Werner Friedmann Institute . The Fulbright program gave him the opportunity to study in the USA with a scholarship .

After completing his studies, Herm got a job as a journalist for the Tagesschau . He later switched to WDR and was able to debut very successfully in 1964 with his first book America Conquered Europe .

During his time with television , Herm was instrumental in the realization of more than forty documentaries.

In addition to his work for radio, such as radio plays, features, etc., Herm wrote very successful non-fiction books and novels, in the case of non-fiction books mainly on historical and archaeological topics. He was also the first speaker and editor of the Philips Annual Chronicle to be heard on records.

Gerhard Herm was married.
