Joachim Hermann Luger (born October 2, 1943 in Schömbach , Altenburg district , Thuringia ) is a German actor .

Life

Luger grew up in Berlin . After secondary school , he completed training as a chemical laboratory assistant. From 1966 to 1969 he attended a private drama school in Stuttgart . He came to Bochum in the 1970s through engagements at the Grillo-Theater Essen and the Schauspielhaus Bochum , where he still lives today. He is married and has two sons.

Luger became known in the role of the social worker and househusband Hans Beimer (called Hansemann) in the television series Lindenstrasse . Luger has been a member of the ensemble since episode 1, which aired on December 8, 1985. The last episode with him was on September 2, 2018.

In 1980 Luger stood in front of the camera for the first time : next to Tana Schanzara in the film You bent my soul like a beautiful dancer , directed by Roland Reber . He was also seen in episodes of well-known TV series such as Our Teacher Doctor Specht , Liebling Kreuzberg and the Tatort series.

In addition to his television activities, Luger mainly works as a stage actor at various theaters in the Ruhr area . Since 1995, he and his colleague Petra Afonin have been designing musical and literary programs at the Prinzregenttheater in Bochum .

Luger could also be seen in the one-person play Klamms Krieg by Kai Hensel . On the posters and postcards published in October 2005, he can be seen together with his Lindenstrasse colleague Irene Fischer and Albin Jonathan , a teenager with Down syndrome.
