Giovanni Guida (born October 12, 1992 in Acerra ) is an Italian artist , painter and illustrator . His works are created using the image technique of the grattage .

biography

Born in Acerra, residing in Cesa (a municipality in the province of Caserta ), he graduated from the Aversa State Art School after graduating and specialized in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples with distinction .

His painting is based on the dynamic value of the 'sign' with soft and curved lines that intertwine and intersect, and on the centrality of the gesture, large and decisive. He deepened his research on color and light and moved in the direction of an abstract art; overlaying oil paints interspersed with the surrealistic techniques of grattage and frottage is intended to respond to the unexpected signs and shapes created by the texture. For this way of working, he uses new tools and experiments with common tools and everyday objects such as sponges, stilettos, steel brushes and small metal blocks.
