Glattbach is a district of Dermbach in the Wartburg district in Thuringia .

location

The Glattbach district is located east of the federal highway 285 with the branch road 92 to the district in the valley of the Felda . The floodplain is criss-crossed with streams and green erosion channels. Dermbach is located northeast of the district. The geographic height of the place is 350  m above sea level. NN .

history

The district was first mentioned in a document in 1145. It belonged for centuries to the Office Fischberg which temporarily owned by the Lords of Neidhartshausen , the Lords of Frankenstein , the Counts of Henneberg -Schleusingen, the monastery of Fulda , various Ernestine duchies and finally in 1815 the Grand Duchy of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach was .

Glattbach was hit by the witch hunt in 1692/93 . The widow Catharina Huck got into a witch trial and died under torture.

In 1955 there were 69 inhabitants in the village, today (2012) there are 53.
