The Gmina Jarocin [ja'rɔʨin] is a town-and-country municipality in the Jarociński powiat of the Greater Poland Voivodeship in Poland . The seat of the Powiat and the municipality is the district town of the same name ( German Jarotschin ) with 26,155 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality of Jarocin has an area of 200.23 km² and is located about 70 kilometers (as the crow flies) southeast of the city of Poznan , 70 kilometers east of the city of Leszno and 50 kilometers northwest of the city of Kalisz .

traffic
The capital has a train station on the Oleśnica – Chojnice railway lines (there are further stops in Golina and Radlin) and Kluczbork – Poznań (there are further stops in Witaszyce and Mieszków). In the past, the Jarocin – Kąkolewo railway branched off and the Mieszków – Czempiń railway branched off in Mieszków .
