The Gmina Kietrz is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Głubczycki of the Opole Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name ( German Katscher , Czech Ketř ) with about 6050 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality is located in Silesia . It borders on the district town of Głubczyce (Leobschütz) in the west and on the Czech Republic in the east and south . The Troją belongs to the flowing waters .
history
The municipality came to the Opole Voivodeship in 1950, which changed its layout several times until 1999. The powiat Głubczycki was re-established in 1999.
