The Gmina Poronin is a rural community in the powiat Tatrzański of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in Poland . Their seat is the village of the same name with about 3500 inhabitants.

Ząb at an altitude of 1013 meters is the highest village in Poland.

Culture and tourism

Sights include the wooden church Świętej Anny in Ząb with regional decor. The villages are popular vacation spots all year round. The Biały Dunajec used to be important for logging ; today raft trips are organized there for tourists.
