For the 2011/12 season Ochoa moved to France in the Corsican capital Ajaccio, where he played in Ligue 1 for AC Ajaccio . After his team in the 2013/14 season in the Ligue 2 was staying, he left the club and joined the FC Málaga on. For the 2016/17 season he was signed by Granada CF.

Although Ochoa had announced plans to change the 2019/20 season, no agreement had yet been reached to restart the game. Accordingly, he returned to Liege after the summer break, albeit a little late. According to his own information, visa problems with his daughter were the reason for the delay. Due to an injury from the Gold Cup final, he was also unable to play at the start of the season. On August 7, 2019, an agreement was reached that he would return to Club América , where his career began.
