Gustav Fink
Gustav August Friedrich Fink (born July 3, 1854 in Hanover ; † May 15, 1933 ibid) was a national liberal German politician and mayor of Hanover.
Life
After graduating from high school in Waren (Mecklenburg), Fink studied law in Würzburg and Göttingen. In 1880 he became a member of the Corps Nassovia Würzburg . He completed his studies in 1884 with a legal clerkship. In 1890 he worked first as a court assessor , then as a city counsel in Einbeck and finally as a senator for the trade department in Hanover. In 1904 he also took over the management of the city police administration. In the same year he was also elected chairman of the National Liberal Party in the province of Hanover.
From 1905 Fink was represented as a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and the Hanoverian state parliament. In 1918 he became a member of the DVP , but where he did not perform any functions. In 1922 Fink was elected mayor (syndic). In the period from October 1924 to August 1925 he was acting Lord Mayor . He was then made an honorary citizen of the city of Hanover and retired. In addition to numerous honorary posts, he was instrumental in the construction of the town hall, which was inaugurated in 1914. On the occasion of his 70th birthday, Hermann-Strasse in the southern part of the city, where his birthplace was located, was renamed Bürgermeister-Fink-Strasse.
Gustav Fink was accepted into the Masonic Lodge Zur Ceder in 1892 ; from 1913 to 1928 he was their lodge master .

Married to Anna Jänecke (* 1873, † 1943). Children: Walter (* 1893, † 1904), Else (* 1894, † 1940), Hanna (* 1896), Otto (* 1906) and Werner (* 1907).
