Höllengraben (nature reserve)

The Höllengraben is a wetland in the Saarpfalz district between Beeden and the old town in the Bliesaue . From 1989, a 30 was here ha large nature reserve reported since 2015 Hell ditch is part of the conservation area, Beeder break .
Flora and fauna
Numerous species of birds have been observed in the former Höllengraben nature reserve. Marsh harrier , water rail , corncrake , snipe , whinchat or oriole were ultimately decisive for the area around Höllengraben to be placed under nature protection.
