HMS Seneschal (P255) was a submarine of the British Royal Navy .

history

The Seneschal (see Seneschal ) was a boat of the fourth batch of the British S-Class ; this construction lot is also known as the subtle class .

It was launched on September 1, 1943 at Scott's Shipbuilding & Engineering Co. in Greenock , West Scotland, launched on April 23, 1945 and was commissioned by the Royal Navy on September 6, 1945.

The Seneschal was damaged in an explosion on June 4, 1947. Another accident occurred on June 14, 1952, when the boat collided with the Danish frigate Thetis south of the Isle of Wight . The periscope and radar mast were damaged in the collision .

The Seneschal was scrapped in Dunston in August 1960 .
