Haşim Kılıç

Haşim Kılıç (born March 13, 1950 in Çiçekdağı County / Kırşehir Province ) is an economist who was President of the Turkish Constitutional Court from 2007 to 2015 .

career

After graduating from high school in Yozgat , Kılıç studied at the Academy of Economics and Commerce in Eskişehir . In 1972 he finished his studies.

In 1974, Kılıç began working as a deputy auditor at the Bureau of the Audit Office ( Sayıştay Başkanlığı ). After Haşim Kılıç rose to the position of auditor and chief auditor, he was elected a member of the Court of Auditors ( Sayıştay ) in 1985. Although Kılıç is an economist and not a lawyer, he became a member of the Court of Auditors in 1990 after a five-year term and was elected President of the Constitutional Court on October 22, 2007.

He retired on February 10, 2015. Haşim Kılıç is married and has four children. He speaks German and Turkish.
