Hasan Semih Özmert

Hasan Semih Özmert (born July 27, 1921 in Üsküdar , İstanbul ; † November 3, 2015 ) was a Turkish lawyer and was President of the Turkish Constitutional Court from 1985 to 1986 .

career

Özmert graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law and was sent to France by the Turkish Ministry of Justice , where he received his doctorate in 1952 . In 1953 he returned to Turkey, where he was appointed a full member of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Turkey by President Kenan Evren in 1981 . He was elected President of the Constitutional Court on April 9, 1985, and held this office until July 27, 1986.
