Mahmut Cuhruk

Mahmut Celâlettin Cuhruk (born March 1, 1925 in Yozgat ) is a Turkish lawyer and was President of the Turkish Constitutional Court from 1988 to 1990 .

career

After Cuhruk graduated from Ankara University Law Faculty in 1947 , he was employed as the Deputy Public Prosecutor in Diyarbakır . Later he was a public prosecutor in Kurtalan , Kalecik and Diyarbakır and investigating judge at the Turkish Ministry of Justice . In 1973 he was appointed a member of the Turkish Court of Cassation and in 1981 a full member of the Turkish Constitutional Court. There he was elected President on March 2, 1988 and was in office until March 1, 1990.
