Osman Alifeyyaz Paksut

Osman Alifeyyaz Paksüt (born November 3, 1953 in Ankara ) is Vice President of the Turkish Constitutional Court .

career

Paksüt attended the TED College in Ankara until he graduated from high school and graduated from the Law Faculty of Ankara University in 1974 . In 1975 he became a member of the Ankara Bar Association as a freelance lawyer and from 1977 worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As secretary, general secretary and state secretary he worked for the Turkish embassies in Tokyo and Nicosia and the permanent missions of the OSCE and NATO . In 2002 and 2004 he was ambassador to Baghdad and Helsinki .

In 2005 he was appointed a full member of the Constitutional Court by then President Ahmet Necdet Sezer and on October 23, 2007 he was elected Vice President of the Constitutional Court.

Paksüt is married and has two children.
