The Hamberg is 722  m above sea level. A. high mountain in the main ridge of the Hausruck and Kobernaußerwald train between Innviertel and Traunviertel in Upper Austria .

Location and landscape

The summit is located in the municipality of Waldzell (Ried im Innkreis district, north side), the second highest elevation of which it represents - the Schranne to the south is 5 meters higher. Hamberg is actually the entire ridge line between the silts Flucht in the east ( 702  m , pass of the L1068  Redleitner Straße ) and that at Mooseck north (approx.  695  m ), with the two peaks  722  m above sea level. A. southeast and  715  m above sea level. A. northwest. The summit points are hardly visible in the profile of the ridge.

The north-east drains the Ach (Waldzeller Ache: Anfangerbach and Schrattenecker Bach / Bindermannbachl), the south-east the Mattig ( Schwemmbach with Hundstalbach ), both in the catchment area of the lower Inn . At the southern summit, the ridge branches off to Schranne  ( 727  m above sea level ) and Kalteis  ( 734  m above sea level ), which separates the Hochecker Schwemmbach valley from the Fornacher Redltal (via Vöckla - Ager to the Traun ).

The mountain is mostly counted as part of the Kobernaußerwald (western part of the train), partly also to the Hausruck (eastern part) - the demarcation is seen somewhere here in the room, partly directly on the Hamberg.

Development

The mountain is not on the Hausruck-Höhenweg ( Hausruck-Kobernaußerwald-Weitwanderweg  HKWW / 10HK Haag - Mattighofen , part of the Rupertiweg / E10 ), which is marked between Hengstberg / Erkaburger Taferl and north on Hamberg down to Schratteneck , but is through the one on the ridge further forest road easily accessible, also a good mountain bike route.

Individual evidence

  1. see the labeling of the ÖK50 and the official coordinates between the peaks; even more clearly on the maps of the Third Land Survey of the 1870s.
  2. for example that of the mountain group structure according to Trimmel Hundstalbach - Kammhöhe am Hamberg east of Kote 722 - Ertlmoos ; as the watershed Ager / Traun (Danube below Jochenstein ) to Inn (Danube above J.) between Schwemmbach and Redl and then further east; as the limit of the old Hehnhart Forest Court ; or scenic Frankenburg - Kobernaußerwaldwarte - Kobernaußen
