Artistic activity

In 1992 he moved to Hamburg as a freelance roadie . His first contact there were the Live Clubs Knust and the Logo. From 1994 he worked for various choreographers in Germany and Switzerland, among others with Sibylla Lustenberger, the JAK Akademie and René Lezard . Despite his move to the professional field, he remained loyal to the Segeberg music scene. He produced a video for the second CD Corona & the Sundevil and a live video in Knust in Hamburg with the Segeberg band Ghosts of Dawn in the early 90s . With the Kiel jazz artist Salim Greven and the pianist Bene Aperdannier he produced the live CD Salim Greven & Bene Aperdannier Trio - Live at MAX in 2004 in the Kiel Live Club Max .

In 1995 he went to Verviers , Belgium with the Franco-German photographer Bettina Hensel to set up a photo studio. For this purpose he worked with various German and international artists such as Heinz-Rudolf Kunze , Peter Maffay , Level42 , The Moffatts and David Bowie . During a tour with Viktor Lazlo , he met the jazz singer David Linx , for whom he worked until 1999.

From 1998 he went on tour with the Canadian band The Moffatts . Since the Canadians played in significantly smaller halls than the Scorpions and were just 14 and 15 years old at the time, he was also responsible for the backline equipment. The manager of the young formation was their father, Frank Moffatt.

At first he shared the tasks with Günter Jäckle and Cosmo Wilson , who also worked for AC / DC . From 2002 he was responsible for himself and brought in the lighting designer Peer Langemak as an assistant.

He accompanied the band a. a. on the following tours:

After marriage and the birth of his son in 2003, he quit the tour business in 2005 and surprisingly left the Scorpions. Wulff during Live Earth in Hamburg (2007)

In 2007 he was part of Al Gore's team . He also oversaw other artistic projects, such as the Live Earth event in Hamburg with Andreas “Woody” Wodzinski and the Belle et Fue Revue in the Casino on Potsdamer Platz together with director Arthur Castro and Berlin lighting designer Andreas Fuchs.

In 2009 he won the Middle East Event Award in the category "Best Creative Use of Event Lighting" together with the Dubai- based agency and production company Mamemo Productions under Sam Katiela.

Energy efficient lighting

In 2008 he advised the community of Klein Gladebrügge in Schleswig-Holstein on street lighting and advanced the renovation of the existing system with high savings. He quickly realized that his colleagues like to avoid the subject of energy-efficient lighting; They lacked the creative standards and the artistic development opportunities. This leads to the fact that "a large part of the new buildings and renovations remain far below their possibilities in the area of efficiency and thus the CO2 emissions cannot be minimized".

He set up one of the first German planning offices for energy-efficient lighting and looked for solutions for communities and industry. His involvement, including as a partner in the EU Green Light Project , led him to the United Nations in 2013 . There, together with the Hamburg engineer Peter Profe, he designed an energy guide for the organization of the contract on the comprehensive ban on nuclear tests . He also designed an energy-saving LED system for the safety lighting of the measuring stations. Today Lars Wulff mainly develops environmentally friendly renovation concepts and master plans for cities and municipalities.
