Hank Teufer , born in Uwe Ludwig Teufer , (born June 3, 1959 in Roßwein , Döbeln district , GDR ) is a German actor , theater director and producer.

Life

Teufer took his Abitur in Jena . From 1982 to 1986 he studied acting with a diploma at the University of Film and Television "Konrad Wolf" . His first engagement took him from 1986 to 1989 at the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater in Zittau . In the following year, Teufer moved to the Friedrich Wolf Theater in Neustrelitz . In 1990 he followed a call to the Brandenburger Theater in Brandenburg an der Havel . At the same time there were guest performances at the Modern Theater in Berlin, at the Berlin Renaissance Theater , at the Bad Hersfeld Festival and at the Schwerin State Theater .

With the Märchendramolett Snow White by Robert Walser in the Petri chapel at the Cathedral of Brandenburg took place in July 2000 Teufers entry into freelance work as a producer, director, actor and author. In the course of the thinning of the Brandenburg cultural and theater landscape, many existing ensembles were dissolved. In response to this cultural and political decision, Teufer founded the event theater . This non-profit association, one of the independent theaters in the state of Brandenburg , runs the theater festival Brandenburger Klostersommer and the socio-cultural center Fontane Klub with cabaret and art house cinema in Brandenburg an der Havel.

Under Teufer's direction, both cultural projects received awards such as the Brandenburg State Tourism Prize in 2002, the City of Brandenburg an der Havel Tourism Prize in 2010 and the Quality Seal for Brandenburg Tourism in 2003 and 2006. In the context of the Brandenburg Tourism Prize 2009 competition for innovative services and marketing , the Brandenburg Monastery Summer project was nominated for the Brandenburg State Tourism Prize 2009 by the Brandenburg Ministry of Economics. In May 2011 the theater received the ServiceQualität Deutschland , Level 1 certificate .

Hank Teufer has three daughters and one son and is a member of the Lions club . He is a board member of the State Association of Socioculture, State of Brandenburg.
