Hans-Rudolf Wiedemann

Hans-Rudolf Wiedemann (born February 16, 1915 in Bremen , † August 4, 2006 in Kiel ) was a German pediatrician, university professor and autograph collector.

Life

Wiedemann's father was a general practitioner. The mother came from a medical family. Wiedemann studied medicine at the University of Freiburg , the University of Munich , the University of Hamburg , the University of Lausanne and the University of Jena . In 1940 he passed the state examination. With a doctorate in Yusuf Ibrahim , he was in 1941 in Jena to the Dr. med. PhD . While still in Jena, he wrote about jaundice .

He completed his specialist training in Bremen , Bonn and Münster , where he temporarily headed the university children's clinic for ten months. As director of the Krefeld Children's Clinic, he recognized the fatal side effects of thalidomide . The Christian Albrechts University in Kiel appointed him to its chair for pediatrics in 1961 . Wilhelm Kosenow (* 1920) succeeded him at the children's clinic at the Krefeld municipal hospital in 1961. In 1977 Wiedemann was chairman of the German Society for Child and Adolescent Medicine . In 1980 he retired .

Like his wife Gisela geb. he collected autographs from Sybel .
