Hans Schnetzer

Hans Heinrich Schnetzer (born April 28, 1894 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ; † January 10, 1994 in Munich ) was a German architect and construction clerk at the Post Building School .

Life

Hans Schnetzer was the son of Johann (Hans) Schnetzer , who was a co-founder of the magazine "Bayerische Blätter für Volkskunde".

Schnetzer designed numerous post offices in Munich and the foothills of the Alps during his work in the Munich Oberpostdirektion from 1925 to 1959. Schnetzer was also involved in the outstanding construction projects of the Post Building School such as the Tela-Post, the parcel delivery office or the experimental settlement on Arnulfstrasse . In 1934, he volunteered as a lieutenant of the reserve for the military to the pressure NSDAP join to avoid. He took part in several exercises until 1939, but was then declared indispensable in the construction department by his superior Franz Holzhammer . He was also involved in research into the redesign of the movement's capital under Hermann Giesler . In 1959 Schnetzer was retired.
