Hans Sievers (actor)

Hans Sievers (born September 18, 1931 in Lübeck ; † July 5, 2012 there ) was a German actor , radio play speaker and voice actor .

Life

Sievers attended the drama school of the Lübeck City Theater from 1947 to 1949, where he also made his debut. He then played on the stages of Dortmund , Hildesheim and Bad Segeberg . In 1954 he moved to the GDR . There he had theater engagements in Görlitz , Potsdam and Neustrelitz . Sievers also played smaller roles in DEFA films such as Five Cartridge Cases , I Am The Rabbit or Sun Seeker . He became known as a presenter and reporter on children's television, where he was the narrator in some evening greeting stories from Our Sandman .

In 1979 Sievers returned to the Federal Republic and began to work in Hamburg as a radio announcer for the NDR and as a voice actor. Particularly noteworthy are his dubbing for Mike Connors as private detective Mannix , for Edward Mulhare in Knight Rider or for Dennis Franz in NYPD Blue . He has appeared as the Joker in numerous Batman real film and cartoon productions. In the series The Sopranos he dubbed Dominic Chianese , in Providence he lent Mike Farrell his voice.

In four episodes of the crime series Columbo , which were initially published on video, Sievers could be heard for Peter Falk ; however, he was replaced by Falk's regular speaker Klaus Schwarzkopf for the RTL broadcast .

In addition, Sievers was often active as a radio play speaker, in the radio play series Hexe Lilli, Lissy and Alfred Hitchcock , he acted as a narrator.
