Hardtplätze is a location in the Wuppertal residential area of Herbringhausen in the Langerfeld-Beyenburg district .

geography

The location is west of the hamlet In der Hardt and south of the hamlet Spieckern on the state road 411 on the ridge ( 328  m above sea level ) between the valleys of the Herbringhauser Bach and the Wupper . The place borders on Grünental in the west and In der Hardt in the east, which today forms almost a closed settlement area with Hardtplätze.

history

Hardtplätze was founded in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The farm was on the route of the Cologne – Dortmund military route , an important medieval trade, pilgrimage and military route between the Rhine and Westphalia . The route is now used by the state road 411.

In 1815/16 there were 22 residents in the village. In 1832 Hardtplatzen was still part of the Walbrecken Honschaft, which now belonged to the mayor's office in Lüttringhausen . Which according to the statistics and topography of the district of Dusseldorf as Ackergut designated place had at this time two houses, a farm and a public building. At that time there were 25 residents in the village, seven of them Catholic and 18 of the Protestant faith. In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province from 1888, two houses with 33 inhabitants are given.
