Hardtbach is a locality in the Radevormwald part of Dahlhausen in the Oberbergisches Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Location and description

The formerly independent district of Hardtbach is located northwest of Radevormwald on the L 81 state road in the valley of the Hardtbach, which flows into the Wupper . The neighboring towns are called Vogelsmühle , Dahlhausen and the towns of Hardtbacher Höhe and Mesenholl, which are part of Wuppertal .

history

Hardtbach belonged to the Walbrecken Honschaft in the mayor's office of Lüttringhausen in the 19th century . The place, which was categorized as a day laborer's apartment according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district in 1832 , owned a residential building at that time. At that time there were six people living in the village, all of whom were Protestant.

The Prussian first recording from 1840 to 1843 shows a building floor plan at the site of Hardtbach without giving a place name. "Hardtbach" is recorded for the first time in the historical topographic map ( Prussian new record) from 1892 to 1894. The place name Hardbach was used in the topographic maps until 1952.

In the municipality encyclopedia for the Rhineland province of 1888, twelve houses with 152 inhabitants are given for Hardtbach. The Hardtbacher Mahlmühle stood in the village from 1851 to the beginning of the 20th century .
