Obersondern is a court in the Wuppertal residential district of Herbringhausen in the Langerfeld-Beyenburg district .

geography

The yard is located at 239  m above sea level. NHN on a ridge between the Herbringhauser Bach and the Hengstener Bach north of the Herbringhauser dam and south of the Beyenburger locality of Sondern . The state road  411 lies between Obersondern and the neighboring Niedersondern .

history

In the Middle Ages, Obersondern, along with 15 other farms, belonged to the Walbrecken honors in the Lüttringhausen parish of the Beyenburg office . In 1547 a list of manual and tensioning services shows that there was a dwelling. In 1715 the court was referred to as o-Sondern on the Topographia Ducatus Montani .
