In the Hardt is a hamlet in the Wuppertal residential district of Herbringhausen in the Langerfeld-Beyenburg district .

The place, surrounded by agriculturally used areas, is 320  m above sea level. NHN north of Frielinghausen . In the east of the hamlet begins a forest area that extends to the valley of the nearby Wupper . The hamlet has good transport connections via the state roads 411 and 81, which pass by the site. The Hardtbach , a tributary of the Wupper, rises in the village, which has a large number of modern single-family homes. In der Hardt forms an almost contiguous settlement area with Hardtplätze , to the west . Hardtbacher Höhe is located southeast of the village .

history

In the Middle Ages, In der Hardt, first mentioned in a document in 1502 as Hardtbach , belonged to the Honschaft Walbrecken in the parish of Lüttringhausen of the Beyenburg office along with 15 other farms . In 1547 a list of manual and tensioning services shows that there was a dwelling. In 1715 the hamlet is referred to as Hart on the Topographia Ducatus Montani .

In 1815/16 there were 42 people living in the village. In 1832 In der Hardt was still part of the Walbrecken honors, which now belonged to the mayor's office in Lüttringhausen . According to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , the place called a hamlet had seven houses and five agricultural houses at that time. At that time 44 people lived in the place, all of them Protestant faith. In the municipality lexicon for the province of Rhineland from 1888, six houses with 57 inhabitants are given.
