Harry David Robinson (born September 26, 2000 in Preston ) is a Northern Irish football player who is under contract with Motherwell FC in the Scottish Premiership .

Career

Harry Robinson was born in 2000 in Preston, England, as the son of Northern Ireland international Steve Robinson . He had previously been with AFC Bournemouth after six years , and a few months earlier moved to Preston North End . Until he was 15 he played for the Ridgeway Rovers. From 2016 he played for a year in Northern Ireland with Glenavon FC, for whom he mainly played in the youth. On April 30, 2016, he made his debut for the first team in the Northern Irish Premiership against Linfield FC at the age of fifteen . Without another professional assignment, he left the club in July 2017.

He found a new employer with the English fourth division club Oldham Athletic . His father was still a coach at Oldham until January 2017 . Here, too, he mainly worked in the youth field, only on January 1, 2019 he was allowed to compete in the league for the professional team against Notts County . In August 2019 Robinson was loaned out to Crusaders FC in Northern Ireland for half a year . After the loan expired in January 2020, he joined Scottish Motherwell FC two months later , where his father has been the head coach since March 2017.

National team

Harry Robinson played twice in 2015 for the Northern Irish U-15 and from the same year in the U-16 national team . For this age group, he played seven games and scored two goals. In 2018 he played in the U19 against Kazakhstan and scored a goal.
