Jamie Semple was born in 2001 in Bellshill, 3 km north of Motherwell . In 2014 he came to FC Motherwell for whom he played in his youth. On April 27, 2019, at the age of 17, he made his debut on the club's professional team. He came on the 35th day of the Scottish Premiership 2018/19 as a substitute for David Turnbull against Dundee FC . Two more league games followed by the end of the season.

National team

Jamie Semple began to represent the Scottish Football Association in international matches for junior teams in 2017. He made his U-17 debut against Italy on August 18, 2017. In his fifth of eight games in this age group, he scored his first goal against Poland in February 2018, which also meant the 1-0 winner. In the same year he came to a mission in the U-18 against Uzbekistan . In September 2019 Semple made his Scottish U-19 debut against Japan
