Jake Hastie (born March 18, 1998 in Law ) is a Scottish football player who is under contract with the Glasgow Rangers . In the 2020/21 season it is loaned to Motherwell FC .

Jake Hastie was born in 1998 in the Scottish town of Law in the South Lanarkshire region. In 2015, Hastie joined Motherwell FC's U17s . On October 15, 2016, he came to his first league appearance for the first team when he was substituted on for Ross MacLean in the Scottish Premiership against Celtic Glasgow . By the end of the 2016/17 season he made two more appearances as a substitute against Heart of Midlothian and FC Kilmarnock . From August 2017 to June 2018 he was loaned to Airdrieonians FC in the Scottish Third Division. As a regular player, he completed 31 league games for the club from North Lanarkshire and scored two goals. A six-month loan to Alloa Athletic followed in July 2018 . After his return to Motherwell, Hastie was able to fight for a regular place from January 2019.

In May 2019 Hastie signed a preliminary contract with the Glasgow Rangers that ran from the 2019/20 season. Hastie was loaned to Rotherham United directly after his commitment . In the season 2020/21 a loan followed at his hometown club FC Motherwell.

National team

In March 2019, Hastie made his debut for the Scottish U-21 national team against Mexico .
