Henry John "Harry" Spanger (born January 9, 1873 in Grand Rapids , Michigan , † July 1958 in St. Petersburg , Florida ) was an American light and welterweight boxer .
Spanger took part in the 1904 Olympic Games. He first defeated the American Jack Egan in the lightweight and won the gold medal. He then gained weight within a short time and also took part in the competitions in the welterweight class, where he won the silver medal. In the final he lost to his compatriot Albert Young .
Spanger is one of only four boxers who have ever won more than one medal at the same Olympics.
