Harvest Moon is a folk album by Neil Young that was released on October 27, 1992.
Harvest Moon is regarded as a quasi-continuation of his most successful album Harvest (1972). Most of the musicians were already on Harvest , with the exception of Spooner Oldham, Astrid Young and Larry Cragg.
Spooner Oldham took over Jack Nitzsche's place at the piano, Astrid Young (Young's half-sister) and Larry Cragg (his guitar and keyboard technician) appeared as backing vocalists.
The song Old King refers to Young's dog, who died shortly before, was actually called "Elvis" and was his constant companion on tour.
