history

In 1356 the part east of the Rodach with Heinersberg fell to the Counts of Orlamünde and their rule Lichtenberg . In 1430, the lords of Waldenfels took over the feudal lordship and introduced the Reformation in 1528 . In 1618 the Lords of Waldenfels sold the Lichtenberg estate with Heinersberg, which finally came into the possession of Margrave Christian von Brandenburg-Bayreuth in 1628 . Heinersberg thus belonged to the margraviate of Brandenburg-Bayreuth . The Rodach formed the border with the bishopric of Bamberg and was an Evangelical-Catholic denominational border . In 1791 the Amt of Lichtenberg fell to the Kingdom of Prussia and, after four years of French occupation, finally became Bavarian in 1810.

The Protestants belonged to the Evangelical Lutheran exposed vicariate of Nordhalben-Heinersberg. The responsible Catholic parish was in Nordhalben, 3.0 kilometers away. The Bayreuth cutting mill was no longer a district. In 1931 the Teuschnitz district office was dissolved and the Heinersberg community became part of the Kronach district office .
