Heinrich Bang
Heinrich Bang (born April 9, 1838 in Schlüchtern ; † January 10, 1896 ) was mayor of Wesel and Mülheim an der Ruhr .
In 1866 Heinrich Bang was appointed auditor of the garrison in Hofgeismar and later assigned to the commandant's court in Wesel, where he was elected mayor of the city in 1870.
After the death of Mülheim mayor Karl Obertüschen , Bang was elected his successor. The good understanding at the beginning of his term of office with the citizenry and the city council gave way after several years of serious differences. A compensation of 10,000 marks caused him to resign on November 15, 1878 and settle down as a lawyer in Ruhrort .
The orientalist and Anglist Willi Bang-Kaup was his son.
