Life

Heinrich Nollner was 1879 in Rinteln in Weserbergland born. He studied law and economics and entered the Prussian civil service in 1901 . From 1907 Nollner was employed as a district judge in the city of Gniezno . In 1913 he became deputy mayor and then from 1917 first mayor of Gniezno. After the Treaty of Versailles , Gnesen was ceded to Poland in 1919 and Nollner had to resign from his office.

In 1919 Nollner became mayor of the city of Grunewald . The following year, Grunewald was incorporated into Greater Berlin and Nollner lost his post. On September 1, 1920, Nollner became Lord Mayor of the city of Rüstringen in the Free State of Oldenburg . The WRIHALA contracts (Wilhelmshaven-Rüstringer Industriehafen- und Lagerhaus AG) were concluded during Nollner's tenure. He also tried to bring the cities of Rüstringen and Wilhelmshaven together . Great difficulties arose for Nollner from the economic and technical conversion of the former Wilhelmshaven / Rüstringen naval station to civil use, which also made his plans to reduce unemployment mostly ineffective.

After the death of the previous Lord Mayor of Cottbus, Hugo Dreifert , Nollner applied as his successor. In December 1925, he was elected Lord Mayor of Cottbus against two other candidates . In March 1926, Nollner retired as Mayor of Rüstringen. On March 22, 1926, he took up his post with the city of Cottbus. In May 1926, the construction of a sewer system in the Sandow district began and the tram line to Madlow was expanded.

In July 1926 Nollner fell ill with a purulent otitis media , from which he died on July 20, 1926 after two operations in the Cottbus City Hospital . He was buried in the Cottbus south cemetery. His term of only 121 days was the shortest term of office of a Cottbus Lord Mayor to date. Nollner's successor was Erich Kreutz .
