Ernest Henri Louveau (born January 25, 1910 in Suresnes , Hauts-de-Seine department , † January 7, 1991 in Orléans ) was a French racing driver .

Career

In 1939 the young Frenchman appeared on the racetracks with a small 1100 cm³ Simca . The Second World War interrupted his career, but in the years that followed it had its best phase: he finished second in a Maserati at the 1946 Grand Prix d'Albi , also second at the 1947 French Grand Prix and again second at the 24-hour race of Le Mans 1949 . Louveau sporadically competed in Formula 1 races with a Talbot until 1951 , before retiring from racing.
