Herpersdorf is a Franconian village in the northern Albrand region .

geography

The village is one of 17 parts of the municipality Eckental in the northeastern part of Middle Franconia . It is located about 2.5 kilometers east of Eckenhaid . The Krebsbach and Dözlbach brooks, which rise to the southeast, unite in the village with the Hainbüchachgraben coming from Bullach to the Mühlbach, a tributary of the Schwabach . The Dözlbach feeds the Mühlweiher in the southeast of the village.

history

Herpersdorf was founded in 1021 by Bavarian settlers as part of a colonization from the south. As a result of the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , the place became an independent rural community with the second municipal edict , to which the two villages Ebach and Mausgesees also belonged. In the course of the municipal territorial reform carried out in Bavaria in the 1970s , the entire municipality of Herpersdorf became part of the newly formed municipality of Eckental in 1972. In 2019 Herpersdorf had 504 inhabitants.

The state road St 2236 touches the northern edge of the village , which continues from the north-west east-south-east in the direction of Schnaittach . From the north, from Benzendorf , the district road ERH 12 runs through the village and continues in a south-south-west direction to Bullach.
