Unterschöllenbach is a Franconian village in the northern Albrand region .

geography

The village is one of 17 parts of the municipality Eckental in the northeastern part of Middle Franconia . It is located about three kilometers west-northwest of the center of Eckental and is at an altitude of 315  m above sea level. NHN .

history

Under Schöllenbach arose as to Reichsamt Heroldsberg belonging imperial possession , it took place in the time period of occurrence of Burgrave's Nuremberg instead.

Due to the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , Unterschöllenbach became an independent rural community with the second municipal edict . In the course of the municipal territorial reform carried out in Bavaria in the 1970s , the community of Unterschöllenbach was incorporated into the community of Eschenau in 1971 and together with it on July 1, 1972 it became part of the newly formed community of Eckental. In 2019 Unterschöllenbach had 137 inhabitants.

The connection to the public road network is mainly established by the district road ERH 8 , which comes from the north-northwest of the district road ERH 33 through the village and continues south in the direction of Oberschöllenbach . In addition, a community connecting road that runs in a south-westerly direction leads to the Röckenhof district of Kalchreuth .

Attractions

In Unterschöllenbach there are three architectural monuments, including a half-timbered barn from the 18th century with a gable roof, as well as a former stable house and a bakery.
