Eckenmühle is a district of the Eckental market in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district in Middle Franconia .

location

The former wasteland has now opened up in the Eckenhaid district as house numbers 32 and 34 on Schnaittacher Strasse (= ERH 11 ). It is located on the Eckenbach , a left tributary of the Schwabach . There is a small pond in the east, a tennis court in the south and a cemetery in the south-west.

history

At the end of the 18th century, Eckenmühle consisted of an estate. The high court exercised the Nuremberg nursing authority Lauf . The village and township government and the manorial system had the rule Eckenhaid held.

As part of the municipal edict, Eckenmühle was assigned to the Eschenau tax district formed in 1808 . It was under the administration and jurisdiction of the Erlangen district court , but at the latest by the second community edict (1818) it belonged to the Eckenhaid rural community , which belonged to the Lauf district court . In the voluntary jurisdiction, the place was subordinate to the patrimonial Eckenhaid.

On July 1, 1972, Eckenmühle was incorporated into the newly formed Eckental municipality as part of the regional reform .

The place has been predominantly Protestant since the Reformation and parish to St. Bartholomäus (Eschenau) . The Catholics are parish to St. Walburga (Kirchröttenbach) .
