District Court Lauf

The district court of Lauf was a Bavarian district court of the older order that existed from 1808 to 1879 and was based in Lauf an der Pegnitz in what is now the district of Nürnberger Land . In the Kingdom of Bavaria , the regional courts were judicial and administrative authorities, which were replaced in administrative matters by the district offices in 1862 and in legal matters by the local courts in 1879 .

In 1808 the district court of Lauf was established in the course of the administrative restructuring of Bavaria . This was initially added to the Pegnitzkreis and came to the Rezatkreis when it was dissolved in 1810 .

Au was changed to Ottensoos, Rothenberg to Schnaittach and the community of Untersdorf to Großbellhofen.

Further development

Behringersdorf and Rückersdorf (with Kotzenhof , Rudolfshof and Strengenberg ) were added from the Erlangen district court in 1824 , and Günthersbühl (with Hub and Nuschelberg ) and Oedenberg (with Gaisreuth and Simmelberg ) in 1843 . In 1846 the district court of Lauf was 3 12 square miles in size. There were 14,460 inhabitants, of which 5,481 were Catholics, 8,366 Protestants and 613 were Jews. There were 106 localities: 1 town, 1 fortress, 1 market, 8 parish villages , 2 church villages , 26 villages , 39 hamlets and 28 wastelands . There were a total of 41 municipalities: 1 magistrate 2nd class, 1 magistrate 3rd class and 39 rural municipalities:

On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court was set up in Lauf an der Pegnitz , the district of which was formed from the district of the regional court, which was also canceled.
